Transitioning to Full Dentures

£0.00

Patient Background:

  • The patient had been dealing with dental issues for several years and was deeply self-conscious about the condition of their teeth.

  • Dental fear had prevented the patient from seeking treatment until their teeth began falling out, as evident in the before picture showing a missing front tooth.

Treatment:

  • The treatment plan involved extracting most of the patient's remaining teeth, with the exception of the two lower canines.

  • The patient received an immediate upper full denture and a lower partial denture. Immediate dentures are temporary solutions that are prepared in advance and fitted immediately after extractions on the same visit.

Outcome:

  • The patient was genuinely pleased with the results, considering the overall journey.

  • Immediate dentures, although a temporary measure, provided the patient with teeth immediately after extractions, addressing their initial concerns.

This case highlights the importance of addressing dental fears and seeking treatment, even when facing severe dental issues. Immediate dentures can serve as a valuable interim solution while planning for definitive dentures in the future.
